The Stubby is for players who prefer smaller picks. The problem many players who favour smaller picks have is that the plectrum often rotates while playing. To adress this problem the Stubby has a deep recess in the middle area and tiny ridges on the slope so the pick stays put. The specially treated edges have a high gloss polish and a gently rounded bevel that gives the player a lot of control of the attack dynamics. The thinner model has a tiny bit of flex, similar to a traditional 'heavy' pick and the thicker ones are completely stiff without being chunky.
