The Artist solo plectrum is ideal for players holding their picks with the index finger perpendicular to the thumb. This custom pick has an elongated shape, less wide than a traditional teardrop shaped pick. The 3D contoured body helps positioning and grip, further enhanced by the tiny ridges of the surface finish. The narrower width also results in a pointier tip, a shape preferred by many solo players, especially for sweep-picking. As for all my personalized plectrums, the specially treated edges are smooth and have a rounded bevel and by varying the attack angle of the pick while hitting the string a lot of different dynamics are possible.
